Stella Marrie, Ph.D.

Dr. Marrie is the Director of Continuing Education at Unified Mindfulness. In this capacity she oversees UM’s relationship with the American Psychological Association as well as UM’s adherence to APA programming standards. She helps leaders in the field of psychology to develop the post doctoral level CE courses Unified Mindfulness delivers to mental health care professionals.

To date, in her role, Dr. Marrie has overseen Unified Mindfulness’ delivery of programs by top neuroscience researchers Dr. David Creswell and Dr. Dave Vago, Mindful Leadership expert Dr.Jeremy Hunter, and NYT best selling author of “Hardwiring Happiness,” Dr. Rick Hanson.

Dr. Marrie is a psychologist, professor, and Zen practitioner. She teaches courses in mindfulness-based psychotherapies and the psychology of compassion at the Union Institute & University. She also co-facilitates a family program and young adult program at Shao Shan Temple, in Woodbury Vermont. Her interests are in the integration of dharma practice and meditative awareness in the psychotherapeutic relationship and process.

Stella is Chair of the BA program is psychology at the Union Institute & University. She is on the faculty of the Vermont Institute for the Psychotherapies. She maintains a clinical practice in central Vermont.
